What is the National Relocation Network? The National Relocation Network (NRN) is one of the original and most successful internet relocation services. We’ve been on-line for five plus years assisting thousands of families obtain information on billion’s in real estate. We work with nearly 500 agents nationwide and average over 20,000 hits per month. Our goal is to identify individuals seeking relocation information and assistance via the internet, and match them with internet savvy real estate agents specializing in specific geographic areas. Our success is driven by volume and an extensive nationwide internet presence. We’re owned and operated by Net Travel, Inc. of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Where do the leads come from? The overwhelming majority of our leads come from the internet:

What kind of information do the leads include? Our relocation information request form is quite comprehensive. In addition to home and property preferences, we seek to identify mailing, email, phone, and fax methods of contact. The internet is a powerful media for establishing contact, but it’s still the agent’s personal touch that makes the sale.

How many leads will I receive? The frequency and number of leads are dependent on numerous factors. Metropolitan vice rural, time of year, search engine updates, military and corporate transfers, etc. etc. Generally we expect to generate dedicated agents 10-20 leads per month. One of our few guarantees.... although the standard renewal period is six months, NRN will maintain your dedicated agent status for as long as it takes to generate a minimum of 50 leads.

How will I receive my leads? Email.... so obviously it’s important to keep us informed of any changes in your email address. Dedicated agents will additionally have cgi scripted information request forwarding enabling nearly real time response to inquiries for your area.

What are my responsibilities after receiving a lead? What you do with NRN leads is your business. We can tell you from experience that people requesting information via the internet appreciate a timely response. If you only check your email once a week, this program is probably not for you.

What about listings? Listings are received in two ways. First, about 8% of our information requests are from people with homes to sell. Second, we periodically query our database and send our dedicated agents listing leads on people in their area who have requested relocation information on another area.

Do you handle rental properties? Not really. We do our best to discourage using our network to assist people in obtaining employment or rental information.

How large of a geographical area can I have dedicated? Our intent is to dedicate small geographical areas to agents, generally we’ll accept no more than 15 surrounding cities/communities per dedicated agent. If you have a special situation, we’ll evaluate your specific request; however, we’ve experienced greater success with individual contact vice larger broker operations where the leads are redistributed.

How does the FREE website work? We believe this feature to be what sets us apart from other relocation assistance services. We’ll work with you to develop your own personalized, multi-layered website. Every NRN site is unique and can contain up to 15 linked pages including pics, bios, listings, whatever. I already have a website.... why would I want one of yours? If you already have a website, that’s great and we applaud your initiative. Our intent is not to encroach upon your turf but rather to compliment and expand your internet exposure. Often success is dependent on finding websites vs. specific content. Sites can be linked, mirrored, or stress different promotions. People requesting information on your area can be linked directly to your NRN website. We believe more is better..... and besides, it’s free!

My area is already reserved, can I just have a website? Sure. We charge $200 per year, the only leads you’ll receive are those directly generated from your site.

You’re in Virginia Beach, I’m in Alaska; how can this work? It works because this is the power of the internet. People worldwide have easy and immediate access to information on anywhere in the world. Information for your website can be sent via the mail or preferably forwarded via email. If you don’t know how.... we’ll teach you. Sooner or later you’re going to want to know how to forward a listing and pics to prospective buyers via the internet.

Do we sign a contract? No. This is a very simple lead generating service. Success varies greatly from agent to agent and area to area. We try not to make promises or give guarantees. Our goal is for this to be a mutually profitable cooperation. It’s pretty tough to vacation in the Bahamas on $180. We’d prefer to treat you right, close a few homes, and retain you as a long-term dedicated agent. If you want something in writing, print out this FAQ.

Does my area have a dedicated agent assigned? Probably not. If we responded to your request for additional NRN information, it means we currently have an opening for a dedicated agent in your area. We only work with one dedicated agent per area on a first come, first served basis. Preferred agents will be maintained in our database and contacted only in the event the area’s dedicated agent chooses not to renew. Click Here to check area availability but remember that actual assignment occurs upon receipt of payment. Any payments received for an already reserved area will be returned in full.

Can we work this on a commission basis? No. Not only do commissions become a legal issue between brokers, but the whole process just becomes too complicated. Besides, if you'll do the math.... would you rather pay $180 flat rate or 20-30% referral fees on what goes to closing from a minimum of 50 leads. This should be a no-brainer.
